How does it work

Our Retreat and Counselling Programme is an intensive treatment programme that meets the needs of men and women who are struggling to overcome their gambling harm.

The service combines two short-stay residential retreats with 12 weekly therapy sessions delivered either online or on the phone.

Peer support

We run a male and female programme so you will feel safe and supported in a group of your peers.

The first  three-night residential session includes a series of therapeutic group workshops in a retreat style setting.

During this time, you will be able to step back from your day-to-day life and focus on your own needs and issues.

You will be supported to develop an understanding of why your gambling has become so problematic, in a positive network of people who are struggling with similar problems.

This will be followed by weekly one-to-one therapy sessions for about eight weeks. Also, for one hour each week you will get support with day-to-day problems and connect with others in your programme through an online group.

After eight weeks, you’ll be invited back to stay with us for a further two nights.  During this time, you will be able to look at what you learned in your time back at home, discuss any insights you gained from treatment and create a personal plan that will enable you to lead a gambling free life.

The programme will conclude following an additional four, one-to-one weekly sessions.

There is currently no cost to you for this treatment, other than your travel to and from the venue. Should you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact us, we’d be happy to talk to you.
