Wherever you are in the world, and whatever language you speak – you are not alone.
Gambling Therapy is a text-based service that provides emotional and practical support to anyone in the world who is struggling as a result of gambling.
Support is provided in more than 200 languages through a combination of native speaking advisers and translation software tools.
It can be confusing and difficult to find help when you are in distress and you may find that using a text-based service could make it easier to take that first step.
Our experienced Gambling Therapy advisers are ready to offer advice and support, and wherever possible will help you to find local resources.
The live one-to-one support service is available from 9am to 2am weekdays and 10am to 10pm at the weekend.
There is no need to give your real name or email address – you can remain anonymous if you wish.
The Gambling Therapy website (link opens in a new window) also provides access to a number of weekly text-based peer support groups. For some people these groups may be a stepping-stone towards joining a real-life support group, but for others – these online groups may form an ongoing part of gambling recovery.
Friends and family support
Gambling Therapy also provides a number of services directly aimed at those supporting or coping with someone who gambles.
Being a friend or family member of a gambler can be difficult and lonely – it is so important to find support for yourself if you are going to be able to help the person you care about.
As well as the one-to-one helpline service, Gambling Therapy also offers groups and an area of the forum specifically established to enable friends and family members of gamblers to find support.
